Learned Additional Advocate General informs the court that the investigation has now been handed over to Dy. Superintendent of Police, G.R.P., Camp at Jodhpur and that the accused has been arrested on 14.1.2015.
We are not satisfied with the efforts made by the S.H.O., G.R.P., Jaipur in taking steps to arrest the accused even after registration of the First Information Report on 13.11.2014 in pursuance of the order passed by the concerned magistrate under Section 156(3) CrPC. The report dated 19.12.2014 submitted by the S.H.O., G.R.P., Jaipur clearly demonstrates that instead of taking any effective steps to arrest the accused for the alleged offence under Section 376 IPC, he proceeded to record the statements of co-passengers and concluded by giving reasons that the facts reported by the complainant were not correct.
We are surprised to find as to how instead of arresting the 2 accused, the S.H.O., G.R.P., Jaipur proceeded to make investigation in which he not only verified the statement of the complainant by obtaining the master computer sheet of the reservation chart, called for details of the cellphones of the complainant and the accused bu
